The latest challenge to face HR is how to collect and track vaccination records as we start to return to our offices. Workday, as always, has been on the forefront of this challenge. They have published a post that gives several options for collecting and tracking vaccination data for workers.
Of the suggested solutions only two allow for attachments (a picture or scan of the vaccination card):
- An Effective Dated Custom Object
- Using the Request Framework with a Questionnaire
A lot of companies may choose to go the Request Framework route, as this does not require custom setup and may be the easiest, quickest way of collecting data.
The only problem is to get at the data requires a custom report. If you want to see the vaccination card on the Worker Profile, you can there from here – using a Boomerang! The idea was discussed in a recent “Sharing Show“.
Develop the custom report, including the data for the attachment. Then using a Workday Studio Boomerang, you can pull down that data, format it, and send it to Worker Documents!!
